(casks) regular yellow robe; the nose assembles oak, white raisin airs, peanut paste, is still in the cellar. There is inner density on the q.t. The palate is close-knit, smooth, well constituted with rather thick gras richness which seals up the close. The mid-palate stands well, is a good heart for it. This is very much work in progress, a wine that requires time, patience, will be best left until around 2025, skip its “youth”. It persists well, has a lip smacking aftertaste. 2030-32 May 2021

2015 ()

bright yellow. Has a firm, nutty, roasted nuts, petrol style aroma. The palate is weighty, grounded, is fuelled by dried fruits, some apricot, has a grippy finale. It’s traditional in style, up for firm flavoured dishes. There is a tannic thrust on the close, where there is a further petrol association. Decant it. Also wait until mid-2017. 14°. 900 b. 100% Bourboulenc. Bottled Aug 2016. 2026-27 Sept 2016
