Best of the Week #37

Artwork by Jim McElvaneyThis week has been really nice and inspiring: I’ve been at the West Bank Gallery for the exhibition InsideOut and ViceVersa and also at Tibi’s solo show (here some pictures), so right now I feel very inspired and this Best of the Week will feature really good art!

Let’s start with an artist I’ve discovered few days ago: his name is Jim McElvaney and I think his art is simply great. I really like his style and I suggest to have a look at his website to find more paintings and drawings.

And now my Best of the Week:

Traditional Art
Canvas by Rick DEP Walker

It’s quite long time I’m following Rick Walker (Dep) and few days ago I had also the pleasure of watching him while painting, so I’ve decided to feature one of his works. Here you can find other pictures of the live painting and here his website.

Digital Art
An Illustration by Alessandro Gottardo

When you see an illustration like this there is not much else you can say, just enjoy Alessandro Gottardo‘s digital art. Here the whole series.

Picture of the Week
Yurikamome Rail Transit, photography by Appurupai

I usually feature portraits or emotive pictures, but this week I thought AppuruPai and her series “Yurikamome Rail Transit“ really deserved a space in my Best of the Week.

Video of the Week
A frame from the video Mobius – A Collaborative Stop Motion Sculpture This week’s video is a really nice idea: “möbius – a collaborative stop motion sculpture“. Here the video and few pictures.
Special of the Week
2D Artwork by Ninja1 and Mach505 I cannot even think how to paint something like this: it’s not just matter of skills, you need to be a genius for this! Enjoy “Medusa, anamorph” by Ninja1 and Mach505. Here also some other great examples of 2D Art.

All the artworks are copyrighted by the Artists, Renton’sRoom only uses these images to promote them.
